The copy machine study corroborates this.

Which diet is good for the world?

A fun thought. These findings are from a single study, don't take them seriously. I read sometime back that in Australia, non-vegetarian diet is better since most of the meat consumed there is game meat. So, the best diet likely depends on location.

Krawinkler

One of the best courses I had taken at Stanford was the Structural Systems for Building Design taught by Prof. Helmut Krawinkler.

I didn't know him before I came to Stanford, but it didn't take me very long to realize how many students chose to study Structural Engineering at Stanford as opposed to other schools because of him.

I felt his passion for the subject without him conveying it. I don't know how.. may be my imagination, but I felt it. It was in every sentence he uttered.

Liberation

That's the first word came to my mind when I saw this image. It looked to me as if the ship was coming out of water, freeing itself.
